San Anton Sports Club teams
The San Anton Sports Club provides the opportunity to school students and others to practice their favourite sport after school hours. Some of us train and play with our club's teams. Here is the info .....
Football
A number of boys and girls train football with the Club during the after school sesions. Boys are coached by Mr. Kenneth, while the girls' coach is Mr. Simon. All training sessions are held after school during the week. The Grade 9 girls taking part in the training sessions this year are Kathy Zammit and Raisa Rossignaud, while the boys are James Cachia, Eric Galea, Paul Borg Cardona and Michael Stivala.
Hockey
The Hockey Club takes part in the annual U/14 and U/16 leagues organised by the Hockey Association of Malta (HAM). Both teams are coached by Mr. Simon, and the Grade 9 students who train hockey are: Michael Borg, James Bonnici, Anthony Muscat and Shawn Pace.
Volleyball
Three Grade 9 students, Nicole Vella, Bettina Mangion and Elena Wirth, form part of the San Anton Sports Club U/14 Volleyball Team B. They train on Thursdays between 3.30 and 5.30 p.m. at the Naxxar (G. Curmi Higher Sec.) Gym. Their coach is Mr. Simon. Matches are played on Sunday mornings at the Kordin Gym.

U/16 YOUTHFEST HOCKEY TOURNAMENT 2003
Three of our Grade 9 students, Michael Borg, James Bonnici and Shawn Pace were part of the San Anton School U/16 Hockey Team that took part in this year's Youthfest Tournament. These were the results:

San Anton - De La Salle 2: 1-0
San Anton - Hamrun JL: 1-0
San Anton - Mtarfa Boys Sec: 0-2
Semi Final:
San Anton - Verdala JL: 1-0
Final:
San Anton - De La Salle 2: 0-0 (2-4 on penalties)
San Anton finished in second place out of 10 schools.
Inter-Schools Athletic Meetings
San Anton School took part in the Inter School Athletic Meetings organised for students attending Church and Independent schools. Our school fared quite well, especially in the Girls' Meeting, with some Grade 9's obtaining good results. Here are all those who took part:

4 Grade 9 girls, Sheryl Borg, Rowenna Pullicino, Kathy Zammit and Raisa Rossignaud were part of the team that took part in this inter-schools tournament. The results were the following:

We finished third overall.

Tournament at St. Aloysius' College
7th March, 2003
Scott Gavin, Andrew Vassallo, Jeremy Alden, Michael Stivala and Jeremy C. Grech, together with some Grade 8 students, took part in the U/13 MSSF Tournament held at St. Aloysius College. The results were the following:

vs St. Martin's College 13-4
vs St. Michael's Foundation 18-20
We finished fourth overall.
