Lyr-X Radio

Our school can boast of its own radio station.  Aptly named Lyr-X, our radio station is completely manned by the students themselves, under the watchful eye of Mr. Silvio.  Some Grade 9 students spend some of their breaks disc jockeying, making sure the others have a whale of a time .......

Jeans Day

This year, Jeans Day was held on Friday 14th March.  The idea was that students could come to school and then pay a 25c penalty for doing so, which money was going to be given to a charitable institution.

Since some students were very generous, we managed to collect more than what we had hoped for.  In fact, in early April, we donated around Lm110 to Fr. Ang Seychell, founder and one of the leaders of Dar Nazaret, a house in Zejtun that gives disabled children and adults the home environment most of them never experienced.

CHARITY WORK

During the month of December '02, a number of Grade 8 and 9 students were helping to collect money in aid of the homeless. This project was led by Ms. Valerie, the Science teacher.  Students produced handcrafts, which were then sold during the School Christmas Fair.  Mr. Mifsud sponsored the project by donating Lm50.00, while another Lm50.00 were made from Cake Sales.  Total: Lm140. Well done!!
